Sheila
is a published author/illustrator and a professional development provider.
A certified art specialist, Sheila teaches part-time at St. Joseph's
School in Wakefield and St. Mary's in Melrose Ma. She runs professional development courses and
workshops for teachers (subjects range from Book-Arts to Native American
History and Culture to Understanding Mexico) and freelances as a fine

She also portrays Whistler's Mother in living history programs. An educational
video, with Sheila as Anna Whistler, is currently in production.
Possibly the world's oldest beginner violinist, Sheila penned the poem "Slow to Ungar" for her violin teacher. It was
subsequently published in the spring 2004 issue of Fiddler magazine
- her first internationally published piece.
