Sandy's bio:
Sandy is a freelance writer and web designer. She writes
poetry, fiction, and nonfiction when she's not working on web sites or learning new web programs and techniques, which takes up most of her time these days. A wanna be artist, she's become fairly adept with graphics and design. Unlike other talented people in this group, sandy can not draw a straight line, but enjoys the challenges of computer generated art, which can be just as fun and frustrating as writing. "Hell, it beats being a slave in an office," she declares, though she may one day return to the real world. But for now she's happy working as a freelancer. And despite whatever else she may be doing, writing is still her first love and has been since she was a teenager (a long long time ago in another galaxy and time).
Over the years Sandy
has had many works published in print and online publications including the Writer Magazine and Flashquake.
Writing has always been an adventure and has led to other pursuits, including web design which came about after starting her own publication, the now defunct Sour Grapes. She started SG with fellow writer and artist, Sheila Foley. Sandy enjoyed working as editor and publisher for nine years. Sadly, like all good things, it had to come to an end. You might say writing has been the genesis for it all, and for that Sandy is glad.
On a personal note, Sandy's crazy tabby Tango (pictured at left) is now 3 years old. He is partly Maine Coon, but also part billy goat, as he enjoys eating anything and everything.
