Sandy is a freelance writer and web designer. She writes
poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. Her works have appeared in various print and online publications. Some of her credits include;
Poetry World, Poetic Voices, Flashquake, the
Writer Magazine, and
Writers' Journal. In the not too distant past Sandy edited/published the now defunct
Sour Grapes Newsletter for writers with fellow writer and artist, Sheila Foley from 1995 to 2004.
In November 2008 Sandy took her first plunge into the novel writing challenge known as
NaNoWriMo, (National Novel Writing Month). Participants must reach 50k words in 30 days. Hey, it's only 1,667 words or three and a half pages a day to make the finish line, a writing marathon by any stretch. Sandy's article on this event appeared in the Nov/Dec 2009 issue of
Writers' Journal. Check out Sandy's
story page for an excerpt from her first novel,
Time Rider. She continues to work on this and the second novel, its prequal,
The Stonegates.
